Project Description

East and West Campus Dormitory Master Plan

University of Delaware

The primary focus of this in-depth study was to assess several existing residence hall complexes comprised of nearly one million square feet for over 3,000 residents, and to propose upgrades to their architectural and social amenities as well as building systems, finishes and equipment. Becker Winston Architects identifed ways in which the residence halls no longer met the needs and expectations of students. The study proposes strategies for overcoming the deficiencies in the present building configurations providing broader choices to respond to student lifestyle preferences.
