Project Description

BWA was commissioned by the Department of General Services and the Pennsylvania Historic and Museum Commission to transform a 23,000 SF outdated and deteriorating facility into a contemporary center to educate visitors and tell the story of the historic crossing and the surrounding 18th-century village of Taylorsville. The project included: landscape design, integration of environmentally-controlled artifact storage, new environmentally responsible geothermal building systems, orientation and exhibit spaces, classrooms, an auditorium, and bookstore.
